It’s been a long time getting here, but the indie press I’ve been organizing this past year is finally ready to start taking it’s first round of submissions?
Dark Anchor Press will be opening November 1st this year to read horror novellas (30,000 – 60,000 words) for our 2027 slate. We’re looking to publish 5-8 novellas next year.
The run will tentatively be called “The Horror Gallery: VHS Edition” and is themed around 70s-90s style horror moves, the kind that used to fill the back walls of video rental places. You know, the one with totally insane box art that rarely delivered – well, let’s see if we can get some books that do deliver the goods.
