Let me tell you a story.

I once launched a Google Ads campaign with a budget of $10.00 a day.

Only, I forgot to include the period between the zeros.

In other words, I accidentally set it to spend $1000 a day.

Yikes.

Fortunately, while on the walk to the metro station and I realized what happened and was able to race back time to fix that mistake before the weekend.

Phew.

The lesson? We all make mistakes.

What matters more than making them is whether we learn from them or not.

Nowadays, I’d like to think I’ve grown just a little bit in the decade or so since then.

I’m at the stage of my career where I’ve completed my doctorate, I have a book on the way to publication, and have helped dozens of business, organizations, and institutions to not just avoid these kinds of elementary mistakes but to take their digital marketing game to the next level.

I’m not saying I’m where I am because I accidentally gave a campaign a hundred times the budget it should have.
